The FPR, or Filter Performance Rating, is a filter rating system developed by Home Depot for brands sold in its stores, including Honeywell; it uses a 1 to 10. The MPR classification system bases its classifications on the size of the contaminant that can be filtered, which ranges from 0.3 to 1 micron. Three common terms you might hear when buying a replacement filter for your HVAC system are MERV, MPR, and FPR. It will allow you to increase the lifespan of your oven and, at the same time, improve air quality. The three filter classification systems were established by different organizations to measure the ability of an air filter to capture and stop airborne contaminants and contaminants.
